Pere Romaní
Musician, accordion player, arranger
I was born in Barcelona in 1981. I loved music since I was young. I studied at Escola L’Arc (now Escola de Música Municipal de Can Ponsic). I used to sing in the choir, learned piano, recorder and chamber music. I didn’t begin playing folk music and diatonic accordion until I was 17. But from that moment, everything was intense. I studied at Aula de Música Tradicional i Popular, and folk music became my main job.
Later on, I got my Degre in Ethnomusicology at ESMuC. At the same time, I attended worshops on arranging, improvisation or recording techniques. And I also learn playing mandolin and flabiol i tamborino. And I keep singing in a choir: GAC.
Professionally, I combine different tasks in music (playing concerts and dances, recordings, arranging, producing…). I play with the bands 21 BOuTONS and Ratafia, and I play as a musician-actor in the show Flok! of “Companyia ComSona”.
